Things you should know: * Splitting and tabbing a column is NOT a service that is provided. Split columns are not load bearing. When splitting a shaft, you will loose the thickness of the saw blade. Always use a professional for splitting & re-assembly. * Cutting the height will effect the architectural taper, as a new mold is not made for custom height adjustments. * Load Bearing: Confirm load bearing capacity and utilization with your own structural engineer. The load chart above is an estimate only. Although columns are designed for load as specified, one must take into account updraft, earth-movements and other natural events.
