Step 2 Measure the components necessary for production

Step 3 Put all measurements on the photos or drawings

Notes for Measuring:

On a true circle (round parts)

The diameter is the width of the round circle (half the diameter is the radius)

If you cannot measure the diameter - take a flexible tape or string and provide us

with the circumference (the length of the perimeter of the circle)

Step 4 How many columns do you need?

Step 5 What kind of wood do you want - Are they for inside or outside use? click here for wood properties

Step 6 Number of Parts - Do you want all 3 parts: Round Cap / Spiral Shaft / Round Base

or do you want to upgrade with Top Square Capitals or Bottom Square Bases

Step 7 Shaft Diameter What is the diameter at the top & bottom of the shaft ?

Step 9 Do you want Left or Right Twists

Step 10 Are the Columns Split or Whole

Whole (not split)

Do they carry load from above - wood sprial columns are sold as decorative items only

If they do carry loads such as a support for a porch roof overhang, install a pressure treated or metal post

to a secure base. Let us know how big the supports are, if they are round or square?

Order the new replacement column split to wrap your new supporting post

Always check with a structural engineer or qualified professional for load questions.

Split for reassembly (the caps, shafts, bases) are split What are they wrapping?

Split for Pilaster use in half to go up against the wall

Note: all split columns, bases & caps - you loose the thickness of the blade

Step 11 HEIGHT: What is the total height including all parts, it will be manufactured to the total height
